A Welcome from the Prem Athletics Director
The Prem Panthers Athletics program is committed to providing students with opportunities to participate in a variety of sports in a positive and rewarding environment. We strongly believe that participation in sports can have a significant impact on developing positive habits and character traits. This directly translates into academic success and prepares students to become responsible and compassionate members of society and future leaders.
Our Prem Panthers athletic teams have excellent sports facilities that include an air-purified and air-conditioned gym, multiple grass football pitches, a dedicated dance studio, an Olympic sized swimming pool and professional cricket pitch.
Our teams compete in the Chiang Mai Athletics Conference (CMAC) and Mekong River International School Association (MRISA) and regularly travel throughout the region to attend tournaments and events. A dedicated coaching staff, in addition to wonderful sports facilities, allow our students to strive for excellence, improve their skills and overall fitness levels.
They learn how to be part of an effective team and increase their understanding of the sport.

Chiang Mai Athletic Conference (CMAC)
The Chiang Mai Athletic Conference (CMAC) is a sporting league that brings together schools from across Chiang Mai for competitive athletic events. CMAC comprises 12 International Schools and offers our students the opportunity to compete in a variety of sports.
The conference promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and excellence, providing a platform for students to showcase their skills and represent their schools with pride. Through CMAC, our athletes gain valuable experience and build connections with peers from other schools. We are committed to fostering a competitive spirit and a passion for sports within our school community.

Mekong River International Schools Association (MRISA)
The Mekong River International Schools Association (MRISA) is a regional network of international schools that fosters collaboration and competition across the Mekong region. As a member of MRISA, Prem International School participates in a range of athletic and cultural events, providing students with opportunities to compete and connect with peers from other international schools.
MRISA promotes excellence in sportsmanship, teamwork, and global citizenship through its diverse events and activities.
Our involvement in MRISA enriches the student experience by offering unique challenges and experiences beyond our local community. We are proud to be part of this esteemed association and to contribute to its mission of fostering international understanding and cooperation.

Teams/Sports at Prem
Throughout the academic year, Prem fields 32 teams across three sports seasons, with both girls’ and boys’ teams ranging from U8 (Under 8) to U20. Our athletic program includes a variety of sports such as basketball, cricket, football, futsal, volleyball, swimming, cross country, badminton, and track and field.
This wide range of options ensures that students have ample opportunities to participate and compete in their favorite sports.
