A word from our Junior School Principal
For powerful learning to take place, children must feel comfortable, so student well-being is our top priority. We offer a caring, safe, child-centered environment where children feel secure to explore, learn, and make sense of their world. Early Years at Prem is a special place, with weekly sessions at our organic farm and Forest School as part of our world-class outdoor education program.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our teachers see children as capable learners who thrive through play-based, hands-on experiences. We focus on the individual child, valuing their ideas and interests, and use art, nature, and projects to spark curiosity and creativity.
Our safe, inspiring environment nurtures positive relationships, promoting happiness, confidence, independence, and global citizenship. Teachers and parents collaborate to support our children’s learning.

Junior School Overview
The Junior School comprises Grades 1–5 and offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). We offer a holistic learning approach that is child-centred and personalised. Holistic learning emphasises the interconnectedness of various subjects and promotes a comprehensive understanding of the world.
Learners are encouraged to engage their minds, bodies, and emotions to develop a deeper sense of self-awareness, critical thinking skills, and the ability to apply knowledge in real-life situations. This approach helps students build strong foundations for lifelong learning and personal growth.
This also provides a more meaningful educational experience. Students identify as readers, writers, and mathematicians as learning becomes increasingly academic. Students become courageous and confident through active participation in our creative, challenging, and dynamic learning environment. They are supported in exploring their interests, collaborating with others, and growing as independent and curious learners.
