Prem School:
Pioneers in IB Education
Prem International School, located in Chiang Mai, Thailand, was established in 2001 as part of the Traidhos Three-Generation Community for Learning. Founded by Mom Luang Tridhosyuth Devakul (Mom-Tri) and named after General Prem Tinsulanonda, a respected Thai statesman, the school was opened with the vision of providing high-quality international education in a supportive, environmentally-conscious setting.
From the beginning, Prem has offered the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP) and was the first school in Southeast Asia to offer the IB Career-related Programme (CP). We also offer an Intensive English Programme (IEP), which allows students to quickly reach the fluency needed to enter the IB programmes.
Prem’s campus, nestled in a lush, natural environment, reflects its commitment to sustainability and outdoor education. The school has grown into a vibrant, multicultural community, attracting students from all over the world. Today, Prem continues to uphold its mission of nurturing thoughtful, globally-minded individuals who are prepared for the challenges of the future.

At Prem, we believe in providing our students with an education that inspires and challenges them to become compassionate, knowledgeable global citizens. Our stunning natural campus and commitment to engendering ‘good thinking’ encourages our students to think critically, communicate effectively, and develop leadership skills that enable them to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Through our ongoing work with Traidhos, we offer our students unique opportunities to engage with the world around them, ensuring that our students develop a deep understanding of environmental and cultural diversity, and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to become change-makers in their communities.
