Our Faculty and Staff

I have been a teacher for 21 years. My first degree was in Humanities (English Literature and Psychology). I then completed a Masters in Social Science  - at the Centre for Cultural Studies as University of Birmingham. I completed my PGCE in Social Science at Keele University in 1999.  I originally taught A level Psychology and then became an EAL teacher in Guangzhou, China in 2008 and haven't looked back since!

I also taught in Singapore before falling in love with Thailand and coming here. I used to teach at Lanna International School for 5 years, with a focus on the UK curriculum. I came to Prem in 2019 and really enjoy the fantastic campus and community feel.

I am also the chapter coordinator for ELLSA which brings together all the EAL (English as a Second Language) teachers from the international schools in Chiang Mai, and we enjoy regular socials and twice yearly Job-a-Like meetups. This year I will train to be a CIS accreditor and I enjoy sharing good practice with others around the world. Anyone who knows me, knows I am a motorbike obsessive who has been lucky enough to have ridden in many countries in SouthEast Asia and on the Indian subcontinent.

I love that Prem seeks to place Arts as a central tenet of its philosophy, that everyone is acknowledged as a creative in our community, the beautiful campus, wonderful Thai culture and of course, Som Tum.

Prem is an inspiring place to work; the students and staff are all friendly, supportive and committed to transformation in our students’ educational experience. It is a beautiful campus with so many opportunities for learning and connecting with nature. As a language and literature specialist it has been wonderful to be able to review my teaching in light of all the natural and community resources that Prem has.

I am the Operations Manager, a consultant for the system and I was involved in the construction of Prem between 1996 -1998. I have been working at the school since then.  One of my most important responsibilites in this role is to oversee health and safety on campus, which includes ensuring the proper functioning of CCTV, air purifiers, water systems, and all items related to fire safety.

I love everything about Prem: the teachers, students, all staff, as well as the buildings, canal, trees, and nature that surrounds us.

I have been working at PREM since 2012 as the Student Military Service Officer for our Thai Students and as an Executive Assistant. I value the rich learning environment Prem offers to not only students, but also the whole community including staff, teachers and parents.

Prem offers a positive working environment with a healthy work life balance that promotes staff well-being, safety and career growth. People at Prem are professional and have positive energy. They always make an impact on the school.
