Prem Golf Centre students shine at The Northen Thai Junior Golf Federation tournament held at The Royal Chiang May Golf Resort, October 3 – 4. Competitive Golf has only just returned and tensions were soaring with many of our Golfers only just resuming their competitive season with the Thai Golf federation. Our winners are Elite level private Golf program students under me devoting a lot of their time to developing their swing and knowledge about the game.
Chinda Ziyu Liu (Grade 2), made his debut this weekend in a tournament attended by 80 of Chiang Mai’s finest juniors. He not only returned with tons of experience but also a shiny second runners up trophy and a certificate. After a sensational performance, Chinda is now a known name and is already looking forward to climbing the ranks soon.
William Xia (Grade 6) and Victoria Xia (Grade 4) being seasoned Golf tournament juniors were indeed familiar with the setting but at the same time a little nervous due to the long lay off from competitive Golf. Victoria was 6 shots behind the leader on the day one and clinched the winners trophy on the final day in what was a nail biting finish to the end. William Xia too secured a second runner up position in which i call the most competitive group (Due to a rather large number of competitors in his age category). Great performance by William as it was his first time off the white tees, graduating from the Reds.
Our juniors carried themselves like true Champions sporting their Prem Golf shirts with great pride.
