When Life Gives You Lemons...

Students in IEP were introduced to our new unit with a hands-on provocation. We visited the Traidhos farm where we explored the ‘farm to fork’ process by making our own lemonade.

We harvested, washed, cut and squeezed our lemons and then combined the juice with butterfly pea flowers and syrup to make a delicious drink.
When we returned to the classroom, students created a flowchart to show their burgeoning understanding of food systems and the steps food must take before it reaches our plates!
