Visible Thinking Hub with Grade 10

At Prem Tinsulanonda International school all teachers are invited to join innovation hubs in order to conduct action research, share good practice and develop their skills and knowledge as practitioners. Today the Visible Thinking Hub collaborated with Prem’s Creative Director Alex Soulsby with the aim of developing students’ understanding of character motivation. The focus was on Grade 10 Language Acquisition students as they will be required at Diploma Higher Level (HL) to study two texts in order to interpret character motivation, as well as analysing the plot and themes. This then forms the basis of their Oral Exam. This hub also includes Chinese Language and Literature teachers who were equally excited to incorporate these innovative techniques into the study of Chinese literary texts. Thanks so much to Alex Soulsby who led a very engaging and exciting session with the students. Lots of laughter and great ideas for next year concerning the use of Arts focused techniques in our teaching and learning.
