Yesterday, The Prem Community celebrated its third annual ‘Visakabucha Day’. It is an important occasion that chronicle three important events in Lord Buddha’s life cycle: The Buddha’s Birth, The Enlightenment of Buddha and The Nibanna.
A. Tshering guided the students in putting together 90 offering packs for the visiting monks. Each pack includes dried food, pasturised soy milk and fresh flowers. These were offered to the nine monks that had been invited to the school on the morning of the 9th. In turn, the monks gave their blessing to all that participated in the ceremony.
It was a joyous occasion, our boarding students were engaged and showed positivity as they prepared and celebrated ‘Visakabucha Day’.
