Varsity Girls Volleyball Team play with unyielding determination in Bangkok

The Varsity Girls’ Volleyball team demonstrated true heart, grit and determination, making Prem proud of their performance last weekend at the 2020 Thailand Invitational Volleyball Open. Hannah, Emmy, Amanda, Sophia, Amélie, and Lily travelled to NIST International School to play in a tournament that included seven international schools from Bangkok who regularly play in the BISAC athletic conference. The girls’ played 6 games, many with no substitutions and the ‘step up’ in competition that this tournament provided saw the team’s standard of play improve immensely. The final game against Ruamrudee International School lasted over 2 hours when it went to 5 sets to determine the eventual winner.

After having their season cut short in March due to Covid19 and school closure, Coach Dan scheduled practice time in Term 1 this school year with the goal of competing in the Invitational. This is the first time Prem has entered the Thailand Invitational and we thank A. Lee for providing such great opportunities for Prem student-athletes. The girls’ determination and growth demonstrated their gratitude for the opportunity to represent their school with pride. We are proud of them!
