Varsity Boys Futsal Team CMAC Champions

Prem's Varsity and Junior Varsity futsal teams competed in their CMAC tournaments last week. The semis and finals were held at a beautiful gymnasium in Chiang Mai on an official futsal court. Prem's student-athletes had a great experience, competed hard and were great ambassadors for the school.

The Varsity boys futsal team beat APIS 4-1 in the semifinals and then went on to beat Grace in the finals, 3-0. This is the school's first Varsity (U20) CMAC title in any sport since 2010 and a perfect way to round off a very successful year for our senior boys' teams after coming up just short in the football and basketball finals against historically dominant Grace teams. The boys impressed the crowd with their work rate, discipline, togetherness, and skill.

The JV and Varsity girls played well in their semi-finals but came up short and finished in fourth place. The improvement in skill over the past two years has been impressive and much of that is thanks to the excellent work of Coach Georgie who coached the girls in football and futsal as well as Coach Relle who was the girls' football coach. The JV boys team played in their round one game on Tuesday last week at NIS and lost in a very close contest.

On Monday 9 May, the U14 boys futsal team will play in their CMAC tournament at Grace. Prem will host the U12 boys tournament on Tuesday 10 May while the U12 girls will compete at CMIS.

Please come and support our teams and wish them well.
