UN Development Goals

Traidhos Barge Program staff took a break from leading and planning trips earlier this week, to become familiar with the recently published UN Development Goals. The seventeen goals with their targets, succeed the Millennium Development Goals and set the direction for leaders and grass-roots organisations to move towards ending poverty by 2030.

Teaching and administrative staff each took one of the goals, presenting to colleagues through games, songs, presentations and posters. Traidhos Barge Staff also considered where discussion about the issues identified by each goal can be discussed during the delivery of different aspects of the environmental education program with students.

Joining with people from around the world, the Barge Program will run a Facebook series featuring the global goals. Please "like" Traidhos Barge Facebook to show your support.
