Traidhos Summer Camp Science Week

Investigations, questions, experiments… Science Week proved to be challenging, engaging and fun for the campers. Under the expert eye of Craig Smith, who has previously facilitated science festivals in Scotland and the Middle East, campers explored forensics, geology, space, sound and the digestive system.

It was not a time for the faint-hearted, as groups mixed up food mixtures to simulate food passing into the intestines, created exploding volcanoes and launched rockets using dry ice.

When they were not using skills of deduction and prediction, the young scientists enjoyed a trip to the hot spring and geyser at Pong Duad, team-building and group games.

At the closing charing circle, Rasia said, "I had fun everyday in the camp." Later, Alex's mom contacted us and said,  "Thanks a lot to everyone at camp.  Alex had so much fun."
