The finalists for the prestigious 2021 International Schools Awards have been announced and we are delighted to have had our […]
Last Saturday, Moon Festival 2016 was celebrated at Prem auditorium from afternoon to evening. This year is our third time collaborating with Confucius Institute of Chiang Mai University, who supported us with glamorous Chinese costumes, co-performances and eye-dazzling cultural activities — such as Chinese calligraphy writing, making Chinese knots and showing chopstick competition. We were honored to have Chinese consul Mr.Guo Yulu and his family joining our celebration with an opening speech.
Staff members, students and Chinese residents from Prem Community and beyond, enjoyed the occasion, where musical and dancing presentations are presented mostly by Prem students and parents. Our cultural activities have caught the attention of many young children.
Among all delicious Chinese food booths, 11 out of 12 ones were sold out completely before the firework display. Those hometown food sparkling in every gourmet’s memory: moon cakes, roasted Peking duck, beef noodle soup, dumplings, Xi’an Chinese hamburger and Lanzhou noodles…just to name a few.
One of the memorable performances was Flash Mob Chorus from our Prem parents — one person started singing unexpectedly in the crowd and others joined one after another till a chorus was formed. Once they finished singing, they disappeared again in the crowd in a blink.
