Sustainability Development at Prem

For the next two years, Prem will be partnered with Eco-Schools, the largest global sustainable schools programme that starts in the classroom and expands to the community by engaging the next generation in action-based learning. Through this programme, Prem students will experience a sense of achievement at being able to have a say in the environmental management policies of their school and ultimately steer the whole organisation towards the certification and prestige of a Green Flag award.

The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an internationally recognized award for excellence in environmental action and learning. Currently, there are just five schools in Thailand that have been awarded a highly-coveted Green Flag and our aim is to help Prem achieve this status as well.

So far, a small group of students from JS, MS and SS  have volunteered to be our school’s eco-committee along with a team of teachers and other community members. Together, the eco-committee will work together to develop sustainable practices at Prem by firstly, surveying the community for their views on current environmental practices and then, creating a plan of action to work towards. It is therefore essential that the eco-committee collects and analyzes the thoughts and opinions of as many community members as possible to gain a broad and thorough audit of our starting point.

With this in mind, we would be most grateful if as many students, parents, teachers and community members could complete this environmental survey, which will take about 10 minutes of your time. Your responses will be vital to help us on our mission to achieve Green Flag status.
