A Message from the Junior School Principal
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the Prem community for such a warm welcome. It […]
There are quite a number of members of our school community who may have been considering about the students in the Intensive English Programme (IEP) and what happens to them after they have completed their course. Well, since the centre opened in August 2014, it has been the case that some students have chosen to apply to other schools around the world, and some have returned to their home of origin, but many have chosen to apply to Prem.
The table below indicates the numbers of students who have joined Prem in the last three years.
Total number of students in IEP | Successful transfers into PREM | |
---|---|---|
Academic Year 2015 | 26 | 12 |
Academic Year 2016 | 36 | 18 |
Academic Year 2017 (As of March) | 37 | 13 (additionally, many will also be able to apply at the end of Term 4) |
This level of success is worthy of note, and celebration, as many of these students had such little command of the English language at the beginning of their time in IEP that they would have been completely unable to have considered joining Prem.
We congratulate all of the IEP students and recognise the excellent learning opportunities that have been provided to them by the teachers in the Intensive English Programme.
