Taura comes from a small town outside of Seattle in America. She has been teaching for thirteen years in international schools in Thailand, Japan and Vietnam. Taura graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and has extensive training in Early Childhood Education.
She gains inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach where children are viewed as competent learners, each bringing unique gifts to the world. Taura values and promotes kindness and integrates mindfulness practices into the every day of Early Years. Joining Taura in Chiang Mai are husband, Pek, and their daughter, Mali. In her free time, Taura enjoys cooking and baking, going to markets, being crafty, traveling, going to the beach, gardening, and camping.
