Tammy has nearly twenty years of experience in international schools, joined Prem from International School Dhaka in Bangladesh. At Prem she has taught in both the Junior School and as well as the Senior School, and is currently teaching MYP English Acquisition. As an educator Tammy strives to nurture the whole-person development in which students’ full identities are seen, valued, and celebrated.
Tammy holds a Masters of Education in Teaching Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and Exceptional Learners with a focus on ELL from George Mason University, a Bachelors of Arts in Social Science with a focus on International Relations from the University of California at Berkeley and an Associates of Science in Early Childhood Education from Skyline College. She is an IB School Visit Team Member and a Workshop Leader.
Having been brought up in the U.S. by Japanese parents, Tammy is an Adult Third Culture Kid and is now raising her two children Noa and Mia as second generation Third Culture Kids. Her passion to find good food and her love of hot springs have always been motivating factors for exploring new places.
