Songkran celebrations

On Friday 1 April 2016 we will hold our annual Junior School Songkran celebration. We will begin with a whole school assembly at 8.15 am then the Junior School will move outside to the south end of the main football field to carry on celebrations from 8.45 to 9.30 am.

Students will learn the importance of Songkran as the Thai traditional New Year. Students will have the opportunity to show respect to their teachers by pouring scented water over the teachers palms asking for apologies and good luck. This is called "Rod Nam Dam Hua".

At the end of the day from 2.00pm onwards, students can enjoy playing with water before going home. We ask that children wear white Lanna uniforms for the assembly and bring their PE uniform as a dry change of clothes to change into.
