Saying Good Bye

When we came back from our long weekend on Thursday, we found out our class pet “Mr Turtle” had passed away. We talked about how all living things ‘die’ as well as touch upon life cycle of living things. The concept of death is not yet concrete for children at this age, but as with our chick that didn’t hatch we talked about how some people get buried in the soil and are returned back to earth when they pass away. As a class we buried him outside in our class garden, RIP Mr Turtle.
