PSC MeetUp

Thank you to all who attended this Month’s Meeting, “PSC Meet Up”, now every 1st Tuesday* of the month. We continued on the Communication theme focusing on: How we communicate, Where we communicate, and Who we communicate with. 

A. Whole School Update – Aj. Rachel/Aj. Lee: LINK HERE

Aj. Rachel and Aj. Justin has been attending a number of recruitment seminars, looking for experienced IB teaching staff for our growing Prem Community. 

  • Wonderful news regarding staff salaries/benefits –The Finance Committee has approved a 10% increase in the salaries for all staff. Plans to introduce a pension plan are being worked on. Thank you to the Finance Committee who approved the full reinstatement of salaries after the enforced Covid-related cuts. Thank you to parents for advocating on behalf of our valued teachers.
  • Many thanks to all parents tirelessly participating in events, workshops, and conferences – very much appreciated!

B. Athletics Department – Aj. Jamie

Aj. Jamie is happy to utilise the PSC Line Groups to keep parents updated on the wellbeing of the students and the logistical challenges during Athletics Away.

C. Senior School Update – Aj. Shaun

D. PSC Update 

  • The PSC will continue to help facilitate and coordinate with the school on workshops and training for the various applications and platforms we use to communicate e.g. Seesaw, Engage, ManageBac, etc. Thank you to our PSC officers, Bill (PSC IT) and Samantha (PSC Chinese Ambassador) for running the recent Engage Workshop for our Chinese parents.
  • Parents Code of Conduct – Line Groups: Class & Cultural Line App Groups are an effective and useful communication tool for the whole community. The PSC would appreciate it if parents would continue to promote positive communication within the Line Groups and to use the guidelines provided. LINK HERE

    • Track and Field – Wednesday, December 7
    • Winter Carnival – Thursday, December 8 
    • International Day – Saturday, January 28, Prem’s Quad, 2:00-6:00pm.
