Project Based Learning Provides Joyful Experiences at Prem
Project-based learning (PBL) engages students in learning that is deep and long-lasting and inspires for them a love of learning […]
On Friday, EY3 shared their plan of the mini farm with A. Anita. This was a requirement before going forward with the construction. The children were confident and knowledgable communicators while explaining the research and planning they’ve done. They were also great thinkers while answering A. Anita’s questions.
First, the children shared photos, their seed collection, drawings, and reflections.
Then, they took their measured plan outside to show the space they would like to use.
Once they put down their plan, A. Anita asked questions regarding the space as it is used by many children. The children thought carefully of a solution and decided to move the plan between the trees. To their surprise, it fit perfectly.
The children then stepped back to look at the plan and noticed that there was a shadow on it. A. Anita asked the children to take some time to see if there is enough sunlight in this area for the plants.
The children placed palm fronds and a sign on the plan so that it is left untouched while we inquire into the sunlight in this space.
Check back to see where this inquiry leads us.
