Premathalon

Last Friday over 130 students participated in Premathlon 2015. Students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 challenged themselves to complete either the Junior School Triathlon course or the Senior School Duathlon course.

It was a community event that generated a wonderful carnival atmosphere with parents, family members, teachers and students cheering excitedly from the side lines as the students crossed the finish line.

This year’s event was supported by the Prem Parent School Community who provided snacks to help raise money as well as the local Chiang Mai business community who donated fabulous prizes for the raffle and paid for event T-shirts.

We are delighted to announce that over THB 50,000 has been raised from the event. There will be an assembly later in the term when the money will be donated to Kid’s Home Foundation, a charity chosen by the Student Council, that supports migrant workers’ children by providing education and safe areas to play.

We were also honoured to have special guests Trish and Bob Evans join the fun as they entertained the students with their amazing acrobatic juggling performances. If you missed their performance last week they will be returning to school for International Day on Saturday 21 November.

Congratulations to all our participants, especially our age group winners, who demonstrated the important IB Learner Profile attributes of being both balanced and risk takers.
