On Thursday and Friday (April 1/2) Prem hosted the annual Prem Invitational Volleyball tournament with 16 teams taking part in four divisions. There were 30 volleyball matches that took place over the two days in the JV boys and girls and Varsity boys and girls divisions with Lanna, NIS, CMIS and two teams from Chiang Rai (CRIS + CRICS), as well as, our Prem Panthers teams taking part. After the first round of games, I would have suggested that it might be a tough couple of days for our teams as 3 out of 4 of our teams lost their first match. But, the tournament really shows the value of playing games as we improved over the next two days with the JV Boys, JV girls and Varsity girls all becoming champions of their divisions. It was great to be able to host the tournament in our air-con, purified gym and the atmosphere was electric from start to finish. It was a great couple of days of quality volleyball and most importantly our players had fun and learned from the experience. Well done to all the players and many thanks to all the teams that took part and our Prem coaches who put in a lot of time training our teams (A. dan, A. March, A. Jeff, A. Lee). Now it is onwards to the CMAC tournaments at the end of April.
