IBCP Have a Sweet Visit!
The Grade 11 Career-related Programme (IBCP) students had the opportunity to visit Siamaya Chocolate Factory last week. Siamaya Chocolate is […]
From 12 midday on Friday 4th to Saturday 5th of March at midday Prem Senior School artists once again embarked on a 24-hour ‘artsathon’. This year the Visual Artists were joined by Theatre Studies students, and Film students. The visual artists explored the theme ‘Traces’ in a series of workshops leading to the production of an original artwork that was exhibited as part of the closing celebration. Our dramatists devised and performed an original theatre piece, and our Film Studies students documented the whole joyful event.
We once again felt grateful for the wonderful campus and facilities that make this sort of initiative possible. We were also thankful for the superb catering provided by the school cafeteria, enhanced by the silky burger making and BBQ skills of Ajarn Alex, as well as the lemon tart made by Ajarn Cat (which, I can say with conviction and consensus amongst all who have tried it, is simply the best in the world). Ajarn Cat also ran her fantastic long exposure photography session again which was, yet again, a highlight!
The students were marvellous and worked with gusto into the small hours of the morning and beyond. It was a real pleasure to see them engage with each new creative challenge with such energy and conviction.
Our thanks to all the Arts staff and colleagues who offered workshops, or took a chaperone shift, (even in the middle of the night!) and supported our students’ creative explorations.
