Prem Tinsulanonda International Academy
We are very excited to launch the new Prem Tinsulanonda International Academy. This addition to Prem Tinsulanonda International School is an educational initiative to widen the range of pathways open to new students, and also students coming from the Intensive English Programme.
Prem already excels in delivering the IB Primary Years Programme, IB Middle Years Programme, IB Diploma Programme and the IB Careers-Related Programme. We will now additionally offer, as a separate stream, a pathway from Grade 6 through to Grade 10, which will follow the Cambridge University Examinations Upper and Lower Secondary Curriculum culmination in IGCSEs ( The International General Certificate of Secondary Education). The first year of IGCSE examinations will be May 2022.
On finishing Grade 10, all Academy students have the choice of progressing to the IB Diploma Programme, IB Careers-Related Programme, or the College Board’s Advanced Placement Examinations. Both the IB programmes and the Grade 12 AP Courses provide our students with excellent preparation for applications to highly competitive universities. We are delighted to note that we have had three Prem students graduating to Ivy League Universities in the last six years (Brown, Cornell and Dartmouth), and our students leave us to take up prestigious places at top tier universities worldwide to study such wide-ranging subjects as Medicine, Law, International Relations as well Fine Arts and Music.
Prem Tinsulanonda International Academy will be staffed by our Prem teachers who bring with them a wealth of IGCSE experience. The Academy Principal and IGCSE coordinator is Crispian Waterman, who joins us from previous positions at Harrow, Bangkok; Harrow Beijing and Beausoleil International College, Switzerland. Crispian Waterman is also our Director of Boarding and so particularly well placed to have close oversight of those students who choose also be become boarders.
Prem Academy students who opt to become either a weekly or termly boarders, will be eligible for 50% off usual boarding fees in Term 1. We hope this brochure will answer questions you may have about this exciting time in Prem’s growth and development; if you would like to discuss these opportunities for your child please contact our Admissions team at:
