Pond-dipping Pontoon

VSP staff Korn, working with farmers, has recently completed a floating platform to help facilitate pond-dipping activities. Now students will have easier access to creatures who prefer to inhabit away from the banks.

Pond-dipping and hunting for macro-invertebrates at the bottom of the small streams are popular activities with Prem and visiting students. As well as observing adaptations, students may use the bugs found to create a water quality index. This can be used to help determine pollution level found in the water.
