The EY3 children have enjoyed exploring mud in the sensory table in the last few weeks. They enjoyed squashing it with their fingers, forming balls with it, and finding math manipulatives hidden in it.
This week, we noticed a few sprouting plants growing in the mud! Immediately, the children were full of curiosity and had many questions.
What is it?
Where did they come from?
How did they get there?
How did it grow?
Are there seeds here?
We collected the mud in the areas of the sensory table that had plants growing and plan to plant them in the EY3 Mini Farm.
But, there will still questions to explore!
The children were asked the think about a few questions. They were given sticky notes to write and draw their thinking.
How would you answer these questions?
