Physical Education

Grade 5 classes began Term 2 with Touch Rugby.  We had a lot of fun working out the best strategies to beat the opposition.  When playing 7-up, a drill where one small team tries to make 7 passes while the other tries to intercept, we decided to modify the game and wrestle for the ball.  This led to much giggling and laughter as we fell over and fought for the ball.  In our final lesson, we held a tournament between both classes.

Golf lessons with Sid, our Professional Golf coach, have been a lot of fun too.  Learning the grip, stance, backswing, power phase and followthrough and trying to strike such a small ball was a great challenge.  Next week we move to Badminton and then Track and Field.  Join us 15 December to watch us run in the Junior School cross country.
