Our Young Basketballers Punch above their weight

Our Junior School students have been practising basketball once a week to keep their skills up, but due to Covid restrictions we haven’t had any season games. Despite this we decided to enter a boys and girls team in the CMAC U12 tournaments on Tuesday October 6. U12 teams are made up of mainly Grade 6 students, so our Grade 4 and 5 teams were up against older and taller players. Both our teams played 4 games and won 2 of them finishing in 3rd place for boys and tied 2nd for girls (Unfortunately, points differential meant that the girls didn’t get medals), which were fantastic results. Thanks to Coach Ohm for looking after the team so well and I predict a bright future for our young basketballers.
