New Facilities provide relief for Students

While the whole community agrees that the continuing air quality problems are testing for our students and teachers, they do also highlight the relief our new sealed air-conditioned gym and JS undercroft bring. All CMAC international schools in Chiang Mai have followed Prem in introducing strict air quality guidelines to protect our students and this has meant that sports training and games have been cancelled across these schools over the past month. While we have occasionally had to cancel sports training and some Exploria, by having these sealed air-conditioned spaces has meant that the majority of training and Exploria has gone ahead, while no games have had to be cancelled. We all know that it is difficult for our students as they want to get outside, exercise and play games but we have to balance that against the health risks the air pollution poses. Therefore it is great that we still have some large usable spaces when the air quality is in the ‘red zone’.
