Miso Workshop

Traidhos recognised Earth Day by hosting a Wellness Workshop to learn about the Miso diet in Japan as recognition that taking care of our environment includes caring for our inner-environment and health. Workshop participants tasted unique dishes made with traditional miso combined with nuts, vegetables, cheese, soup and chicken.

The workshop, attended by Prem parents, Traidhos staff and visitors from Chiang Mai, took place on a Friday afternoon with a visit to the Traidhos educational farm and cooking school. We learned from Ms Atsuko Iwabuchi of ‘Green Days’ who shared her miso recipes and shared her experience with food, mind and body as essential to well-being.

This workshop is part of the Traidhos Adult Learning Wellness Series. All are welcome to join our events or take part in life-long learning that includes study groups, online courses, public forums, workshops and training. The next event is a one-day workshop at Traidhos with the Asian Centre for Applied Mindfulness for the 13 June 2015 workshop. For more information contact: [email protected]
