On Monday, August 29th the Middle school celebrated the opening of the Middle School Playground with a ceremony planned and led by the Middle School Student Council (MS StuCo). The ceremony ended with the flinging open of the gates and inviting of all Middle School students onto the playground. Snacks and music added to the festive atmosphere.
The playground was built primarily during the holiday and consists of a handball wall and gutter boards for ball games as well as swings and pathways. More features are to be added in the near future and MS StuCo will be working directly with school staff to plan what and where these additions will be.
The MS Playground is available to Middle School students in all free time; before school, during recesses and after school. Junior School students are allowed to use the MS Playground during their lunch recess only.
