Mental Health: Reach Out Week

Yesterday was the start of our Mental Health: Reach Out Week! We started the day with a fantastic assembly where we covered the need to find ways to destress and ways to connect to others. We went through basic skills of how to ask someone who seems to be struggling: “are you okay?” We shared how mental health is just as important as physical health and that it’s good to be able to talk about what’s going on in our lives, as well as get some help from others when we’re struggling.

In addition to the assembly, our students dipped their fingers in paint and place their fingerprints on the branches of a tree. This is to symbolize that each of us have a hand in making Prem a community.

Our Reach Out Week will continue all the way until next Friday with lots of fun activities throughout the week!
