In Maths we have been focusing on learning and practicing strategies. Each morning students are given a challenging activity which they have tackled solo or with partners. Afterward, we have shared our thinking with the whole class and identified the problem-solving strategies used. This is to help demonstrate different thinking and approaches to learning. By associating different strategies with the students who introduced them, this helps the students remember the tools in their math problem-solving toolbox.
