Marshmallow Challenge

As part of our Unit of Inquiry on Team Building, the Grade Two students had a go at using their teamwork skills to build a structure as tall as they could. They were given 20 pieces of spaghetti (uncooked), one metre of tape, one metre of string, and one marshmallow. The object of the activity was to build a structure that could hold a marshmallow. The group with the highest marshmallow was the winner of the challenge. The students had a lot of fun and saw some very interesting results. We’ll see how we go when they try again!
