Maps and Measurement in Grade 4

Students have been preparing for an investigation which involves planning a trip around Thailand. They have been exploring practicals skills such as working with timetables, schedules and itineraries and planning using 24 hour time.

Students tackled various map challenges.

Students were challenged to make precise measurements for their Bee Bot map.

Students also have been creating and reading maps including mastering directionality, lines of latitude and longitude and coordinates. Using Bee Bots, students were able to think critically about map making and share challenges with Grade 1.

Students collaborated to create early coding challenges and test them to make sure they worked. The Grade 1 students were already quite savvy with the Bee Bots.
