Mapping

The students entered math class today with an alarming email. Fredrick was missing!

There were maps scattered across the floor with an X marked in red.  Students realised that the map was a clue for where we could find Fredrick our kidnapped class bear.  In groups they had to determine where the class we had to go; cluster 13.  Together, they had to read their map and act as a GPS by marking their route.  Once the arrived at Cluster 13 they received another clue which brought them to a new location.  This continued a few more rounds.  In the end we found Fredrick safe and sound in the Junior School Office.  Tomorrow we will debrief on our mapping knowledge and what skills helped us solve the mystery.  This was our exciting launch and as the week continue we will dive deeper into the inquiry of maps.
