Loy Festival Krathong

Students from Senior and Junior School have come together this week to create some beautiful  Krathongs for the Loy Krathong Festival.  Loy Krathong is a Thai Festival where people gather together around lakes and rivers to pay their respects to the Goddess of water.  People release the Krathongs, which are decorated with flowers, incense and candles, onto the water, which is a beautiful sight. Students  make the  Krathongs using natural, biodegradable materials so they will not pollute the water.

Day students can take theirs home so they can release them with their families this weekend and our boarding students will visit a local temple this weekend to release theirs.
