IBCP Global Conference!
The CP Students at Prem have been collaborating with other CP students from around the world to create a Student-Led […]
On Wednesday afternoon, as part of literacy week, eighteen Prem students celebrated their mother tongue by teaching it to students in Grades 9 and 10.
Thirteen different languages were represented and the “teachers” did a wonderful job of giving their curious peers a taste of other languages.
The activity, which took place in the downstairs library area, is a variation on the popular practice of speed dating. The students “speed date” with the “teachers” to learn a few conversational phrases in languages as varied as Hungarian and Dzongkha.
For a short time, the Prem library became a truly plurilingual space and the multicultural nature of our student body was manifest, reflecting true global mindedness.
