On Friday, we read the book Leaf Man by Lois Ehlert and were inspired by the creative use of natural materials for the illustrations. The children were invited to use their imagination and create a story based on a leaf. Each child was given one leaf on a piece of paper and made a character out of the leaf. The characters included people, a turtle, dragon, frog, and much more! The children were very creative and allowed their leaf to spark some ideas, which led into some entertaining storytelling! This was a great way for us to learn more about characters in a story.
Come in the classroom to read these creative stories!
