Kindness Rocks

On Wednesday we read the book, “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” which talks about how we all carry around invisible buckets that are filled with kindness. We can fill the bucket by doing kind things to ourselves or others.  As children have been learning to interact with others in positive ways, the book nicely demonstrated why we should be and how we can be kind to each other.

Yesterday the Early Years 3 children came to our class to share about their Kindness Rock project. They helped the Early Years 1 children create their very own kindness rocks! The Kindness Rocks that they created will be hidden around the JS playground for other Junior School children to find so that this symbol of kindness can be spread throughout the community. The rocks represent the colors of kindness that we share everyday.
