The EY3 students are making connections to their sunflower garden by learning to printmaking techniques to make sunflowers in the style of Georgia O’keefe. The Grade 1 students are exploring how the artist Andy Goldsworthy uses nature to create amazing works of art and have created ice sculptures. They have also looked at artists who make assemblage boxes to create nature boxes. The Grade 2 students are studying cubism and are creating whimsical guitar pictures. The Grade 4s are developing shading and watercolour techniques for the final still life painting. AND..The Grade 5s have been exploring abstract art to help them use alternative images for their PYP Media Exhibition installation work.
