Minutes of PSC meeting Monday 16th September 2019
Dear Prem Community, please find attached the minutes from our PSC meeting on Monday with the presentations on Wellbeing/Academic Excellence, […]
On Monday the 8th of March, Prem staff and students celebrated International Women’s Day. This annual event acknowledges the progress made so far whilst also calling for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women, who have played an extraordinary role in history.
This year’s theme was ‘Choose to Challenge’ and attendees were treated to an excellent opening speech by a current grade 12 student, Kitty. She spoke about her experiences as a young woman and her hopes for a future where we achieve gender equality and celebrate ‘International People’s Day’.
Ajarn Nichole Herndon was the guest speaker for the event and performed a moving, dramatised poem that she wrote herself and also spoke about the importance of intention and energy when starting each day.
A big thank you to our guest speakers, Ajarn Linda for organising this event and also to Ajarn Taura, who handmade beautiful purple theme cupcakes to celebrate this special day.
