We have had a great start to the year in IEP with 26 new students joining us and 4 returning students making a total of 30 students from Thailand, China, Japan and France. The students have all settled into the programme well and are making good progress in their English and enjoying life at PREM.
We have two new members of staff myself, Ajahn Clyde, and Ajahn Sintra joining the two existing teachers Ajahn Casey and Ajahn Jun, who has now become a full-time teacher at IEP.
This academic year we have introduced new teaching materials for our core English curriculum.
In addition to studying English, the students have been doing other activities such as English for science and maths, P.E. and yoga, English through art and drama as well as focus and concentration sessions.
IEP students are also making the most of the after school Exploria activities and take part in English outside the classroom sessions at the school farm and cooking academy.
As the new IEP Coordinator, I've really enjoyed getting to know the students and working with the other teachers in IEP and all the people in the school who support what we do. I am glad to see smiles on our students' faces and look forward to seeing many more of these throughout the year.
