IBCP Have a Sweet Visit!

The Grade 11 Career-related Programme (IBCP) students had the opportunity to visit Siamaya Chocolate Factory last week. Siamaya Chocolate is a local social enterprise making bean-to-bar handcrafted chocolate. The students have been selling Siamaya chocolate through their own school-based social enterprise, Koze by Local Prem Coffee, for many years. In addition, the students got to explore the ethics behind the chocolate industry which will help them as they embark on a research project linked to their career-related studies.  The students saw the whole process of making chocolate and got to make their own handcrafted bars.
We would like to thank Saimaya Chocolate for such an engaging and interesting trip! And of course for allowing us to sample your amazing chocolate!!
