IBCP Alumni - Life After Prem!

Last week we were able to catch up with Daphne, who is a Prem Alumni from the Class of 2021! We wanted to know what she has been up to since leaving Prem and how, looking back at her years with us, she thinks her education has helped to forge her future career path.

Where are studying now?

I am now attending Istituto Marangoni fashion school in Milan which is a 3-year fashion business bachelor course. I am currently doing my first year in Milan and will be doing the 2 next years in Paris.

Do you feel the IBCP course prepared you for your university course?

Having done CP, I was able to adapt to uni life very easily and adjust autonomous lifestyle. CP gave me multiple life skills which I have found myself using every single day in my uni life.

What is the best thing about your new course at University?

The best thing about my uni is the variety of subjects specialized and specifically directed towards an industry I am interested in!

What are you hoping to go onto after university?

After university, my goal would be to go on to working with large fashion groups and brands as well as starting a business of my own depending on the opportunities that I have.

If you could go back to Grade 11 and give yourself a piece of advice what would it be?

If I could give myself some advice to my grade 11 self, it would be to cherish every moment with your friends and to make sure your working life balances out your social life.

What would you like to say to parents and students considering the CP course?

Having done CP, I can really say that it allowed me to have a hands-on perspective on real-life businesses and understand how they work by visiting and talking to many guest speakers! This is something that has hugely helped me as it allowed me to develop my personal and communication skills when talking to people from different businesses.

We would like to thank Daphne for taking the time to speak with us and wish her every success in the future please do stay in touch!
