IBCC Students visit David’s Kitchen 909

On Wednesday 17 December, nine students of the IBCC course were given the opportunity to visit and dine at David’s Kitchen 909. This trip helped to develop and further our knowledge of customer service and how to manage and function in a restaurant.

When we arrived we were introduced to all staff and then we were given a tour of the restaurant by one of the owners, Mr David. He gave us information about staff and marketing. He spoke about his vision and how they are accomplishing their dream. The assistant restaurant manager described what was involved in setting up a restaurant and how they prepare the tables for the customers. We learnt how they trained their staff to reach the restaurant’s organisational standards. We spoke to the general manager about exceeding customer service expectations and how they achieve that.

Chef O, the Head Chef, demonstrated how they prepare one of their many signature dishes, Lamb Shank. After sharing their information about the restaurant, we then dined and experienced their customer service for ourselves.
