House Community Around the World Challenge
As we start this new school year, I wanted to bring some focus and unification to the whole school community. The House system is the perfect way to do this! So whether you are a returning family or are new to Prem, here is an opportunity for us to all pull together with a common purpose and goal; The Inter-House Community Around the World Challenge.
This event starts on Monday, 13th September, and is a journey that sees the community travel around the circumference of planet Earth, 40,075 kms! Our journey rate is accomplished through the distances achieved (km) by community members exercising. Please visit our Challenge Google site to learn more about this amazing race.
I am inviting students, staff and families to get away from their screens, to prioritise their wellbeing and to regularly clock-up some kilometers. ‘Exercise distances’, and evidence of, can all be submitted through your child’s House link on the homepage of the Google site. After all, this is also an inter-House competition.
Houses have also been thinking about charities that they would like to support through this event. These are listed on the Google site and students will be seeking sponsorship for their hard-earned kms. If possible, please help them to support these very worthwhile causes. If you have any questions regarding this event, and participating in it, then please reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher or Head of Houses who would be really happy to help you.
As we boldly attempt the Around the World challenge of 40,075 kms, we cannot know how long it will take us. However, what we can be sure of is that for everybody who engages in this, it will benefit wellness, House and charity!
