Hope House: Gingerbread Delivery

This term Hope House Exploria students have been busy working on several projects to support the students at Hope House.  The first project has been the Holiday Giving Tree and the group was able to successfully find sponsors for 69 students in the short span of 12 days! This is only possible thanks to the generosity of our school community.  The group has put up the Giving Tree in the Library behind the stairwell, and eagerly awaits the arrival of the sponsored gifts by Friday, December 9.

The students also decided to add a new fundraiser to their tasks this term:  Gingerbread Delivery.  This fundraiser offers students and parents the opportunity to pre-order gingerbread cookies that will then be delivered on Wednesday, December 7 to homerooms around the school. Students and parents alike can order the cookies using this form. Personalized messages can be added to the delivery notes.  Students can pay for the cookies during break times and lunch times and parents can drop off payments for their orders in the SS office until Friday, December 2.  The group also baked examples of the cookies that can be seen prior to purchase.

The students will do the baking on the holiday on Monday the 5th, and prepare all the packages for delivery.  In case students don't get a chance to pre-order, or don't receive any cookies themselves, the Exploria group will also bake some extra gingerbread cookies to sell on December 7 in the Senior School during the break. All proceeds from these sales will go to  finalizing the fund raising to build a toilet block for Hope House's new camping location and beginning to create a fund to sponsor a child at Hope House for an entire year.

The Hope House Exploria group looks forward to having your continued support of these goals and activities.
