Prem Fall Classic Football Tournament 2019
On Friday and Saturday last week Prem hosted the “Prem Fall Classic Invitational JV + Varsity Football Tournament”. Our sports facilities […]
As I write this message the AQI readings are in the Red Zone and so once again in the second semester of the AY2018 school year we start our day with students in the classrooms and the knowledge that we will possibly have to change activities so as to fulfill the Air Pollution Agreement that we have in place that helps to make sure that students and teachers are kept safe.
Yet it has to be acknowledged that this “smoke season” has been the longest in the five years that I have been in Prem and certainly the worst in terms of the number of days that we have been affected. Fortunately, we have been able to make sure that our safety standards have been maintained but we have also identified certain areas that will need to be enhanced for next year. The proposals have already been sent to the Board and will be discussed as quickly as possible.
Yet no matter what number or model of air purifiers we install, the plain fact of the matter is that the students are cared for throughout each day; with many hours when the children are indoors. This is stressful and it is a testimony to the professionalism of all of our teachers that the students have remained clam and have worked with us.
I would like to thank everyone for their support during the last few months but in particular I would like to express our gratitude to our teachers for their compassion and care under extremely trying circumstances. Thank you, Dear Colleagues.
